What the Year in C.C.Y means to me The year in C.C.Y has meant alot to me. I have learned alot of things that will help me get along in life. First, I've learned that persistance is very important. It has to do with you trying hard and not giving up. I've learned that you need to try or you'll never succeed in life. Another thing that I've learned is that you have to set goals for yourself. You should set three levels of goals that you want to achieve in life. You should se a small goal, an intermediate goal, and a large goal. You may have alot of struggles, but if you set goals and are persistant, you will be okay. You also should stay in school because it will get you a good education. Most jobs need at least a high school diploma. If you don't have a good education, set goals, and be persistant. If you don't do these things you will most likely have a dead-end job, and the only person you can blame for that is yourself. These are all the things I've learned in C.C.Y. WHAT I LEARNED IN CCY THIS YEAR I learned that in CCY you have to do your best and you have to try your hardest. You have to put effert in the future you could get a good job and be a winner but you also have to use determination at school so could get your work done. In CCY you have to do your best in the work. I am trying to finsh my work so I will not get bad grades. I also learned. About your self. but the most inportan thing that I learned is that you have to try to get things done. This is What I Leaned this year Jacob

 

PERSISTENCE Persistence means continuing firmly and steadily, and not giving up. To keep on trying is also an ingredient of being successful. I will tell you what it means and why it is important to be a persistent person. Being persistent is important because you build up character, and you will be more successful. For example, when I was in fifth grade I couldn't talk too much in English. When I talked people would start laughing because I wouldn't say the word correctly. I wouldn't care. I was trying my best and now I know more english than in fifth grade. In Life you will have a lot of problems. When you have a problem make it a challenge. You should try your personal best. You should always know that life is not a bed of roses. This means that life is not just going to bring you good stuff. I's also going to bring bad stuff. Finally, on my opinion, I would say that a person who never quits will be a successful person. I think that I'm persistant Erika

 

WHAT THE YEAR WITH CCY MEANT TO ME I'm Kourtney, and I'm going to talk about what CCY has meant to me. At the beginning of CCY I thought that it would be a hard, boring program that I would not understand. During this past year I've learned that hearing what people have to say is interesting. I've also learned that these reports are easy and you can succeed in anything. CCY has told me that I'm important even thought everybody treats me like dirt. I've learned that I can become anything I want to if I put my mind to it, and I need to be like the energizer battery bunny who keeps going. I've learned that I don't have to put up with being beat-up or pushed around. I think that the future CCY ongoers will have a big impact on the studies of 6th grade. CCY will help kids think better and raise ther I.Q. level, some might drop out. If the kids pay attention and remember what they've learned, they will go places. Children will learn about how complicated and easy life is, and how they can make a difference. All of this reminds me, a few days ago I was watching the "Wallace and Ladmo Show." Ladmo had a dream that he would have his own show and he would make kids laugh, with many years of hard work he succeeded. Next year will be the "Wallace and Ladmo Shows" 50th anniversary, and Ladmo wont be around to enjoy it. They put hard work and effort into that show. Kourtney

 

I am going to explain what C.C.Y. has meant to me and how it's going to do good in my life. C.C.Y. is a wonderful pragrame. Mr. Walters is a perfect exsample of an achiver. What mad him be what he is today was his real will , persistence and knowlege. Also his story , he droped out of school but a few years later he regained his confedince. C.C.Y. will do a lot for me . It made me realize that I can acomplish any task . I can now also overcome my greatest task of all , my mind. My mind works in unthinkable ways. It lets you think you cannot overcome somthing . For overcoming my mined I must show it that I can do somthing sucsesful in life. I would use C.C.Y. in my life by using the strong quotes to make myself a determinater. By being a determinator I will succsed in becoming a scientist, doctor, lawer and bio chemist. These are all long shots but I and myself can make it come true. Also using C.C.Y. In my short term goals a quoet "If it is to be , its up to me ." Lets define it alittle bit it means that if you want somthing it is up to yourself to get it. C.C.Y. Is helping me now by myself using the quoets and other stuff I learned , in mathematicts. It helps me in matematics by using a word a word that will help mr in so many ways. That word is persistence. Persistence means not to give up. For my first quarter I got a 3+ in math in the second I got a 4- but using persistence I got a 2- at the end. Now Im going to tell you whether I like it or dislike it, whether it was boring or exciting. I loved C.C.Y. for what it wil do for me and what it has done for me . C.C.Y. was about 43% boring the other half lets just say it touched my heart spiritally , mentally and physically. C.C.Y. Is a great program and it will help you so give it a chance. C.C.Y. Is extremly helpful in many ways, physcially or mentally, IT STILL HELPS!! Lorenzo
